Select this grid if the customer is paid by the hour. This will be given by a 'hourly rate ' of pay on the pay stub.

Select the time period covered by the pay stub. It will usually be listed by a date range from one date to another.

EX:   01/01/2011 - 01/07/2011   7 or less days would be 'week'
EX:   01/01/2011 - 01/14/2011   14-15 days would be 'bi-week'
EX:   01/01/2011 - 01/31/2011   full month would be 'month'

Enter the rate of pay per hour. This figure should be clearly given on the pay stub. Use the amount indicated for regular hours worked. Do not include any other items such as bonuses, overtime, or paid vacation/sick time.

Enter the number of hours reported on the paystub. Enter only whole hours, no decimals. Only include regular hours worked. Do not include overtime or sick/vacation time.

Enter any non-tax deductions listed. These would be garnishmnts, levies, union dues, or any other reduction in pay not attributable to normal tax withholdings.

Use this grid for customers who have a pay stub showing they are paid a straight salary and not by the hour. This would also be used for those customers on an entitlement such as social security or retirement and the income is a fixed amount each period.
